The Breakfast Mastermind is a small-scale, high-impact series for members to exchange with one of The Nine’s advisory board members.

Over coffee and breakfast (because authenticity tastes better with a pastry), the discussion is shaped by the room: your questions, your challenges, your current realities. Expect sharp perspectives, concrete examples, hard-earned lessons, and space for honest dialogue.

Each session is intentionally limited in size to keep the exchange dynamic, personal, and genuinely useful. You’ll leave with new ways of thinking, a sense of emulation, and a stronger connection to the women steering The Nine.

This month, meet :

Sevim Atkas

Sevim Aktas is a policy officer at the European Commission's Directorate-General for Climate Action. Prior to her role in DG CLIMA, Sevim worked in the energy market unit in DG ENER and has experience in the private sector with Knauf Energy Solutions.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Sevim is passionate about fostering understanding and engagement in EU energy and climate matters. She founded EU Green Deal Brief, an Instagram account with around 30k followers, to provide accessible and engaging briefings on EU energy and climate topics, as well as career tips for aspiring sustainability professionals. As the co-chair of Brussels New Generation, a networking community for young professionals in Brussels, she collaborates with the British Chamber of Commerce.

Sevim holds a degree in Energy Engineering from the University of Twente and the University of Oxford. She was born in the Netherlands, grew up in Germany, and is of Turkish descent.

Dr. Beatrice Vos

Dr. Beatrice Vos is a dual-qualified attorney in Germany and the United States with over 20 years of international experience in corporate law, M&A, and global business strategy. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Cologne and an LL.M. from NYU School of Law.

She currently serves as Managing Partner at Stonehaven Transactions AG, leading cross-border M&A advisory mandates. Previously, she held senior executive roles at Elanco Animal Health and Eli Lilly, where she led international legal and compliance teams and advised on complex multi-billion-dollar transactions, including the $7.6BN acquisition of Bayer’s animal health division.

Recognised on Legal500’s GC Powerlist and named “Corporate Counsel of the Year 2020” by Global Competition Review, Dr. Vos brings deep expertise in M&A, antitrust, governance, and regulatory strategy.

She also serves on the Advisory Board of The Nine Equality Initiative and as Non-Executive Director of GMF Cosmetics, combining strategic leadership with a strong commitment to gender equality.
